Mobile Touring Service

The Spatial Adventures Mobile Touring Service is a self-guided audio tour enabling visitors to use their own personal cell phones to explore an historic park, zoological park, heritage site, museum, urban locale, or other point of interest (either as a pedestrian or as a passenger in a motor vehicle).

Cell Phone Audio Tour

Audio content associated with various STOPs (i.e. points of interest) at the park site are hosted by Spatial Adventures on the SpatialWaveTM application.  The STOPs are assigned numbers and titles which are displayed on a visitor brochure.  Optionally, the park may choose to display the STOP numbers on existing or new signage.

Visitors dial a phone number dedicated to the park site's audio tour.   Whenever visitors reach a STOP of interest, they simply input the STOP number into their cell phone keypad and receive the audio content pertaining to their current location.

TRACKS
An especially useful element of the audio tour service is the concept of 'Tracks'.  A 'Track' is an audio tour organized around a particular theme, or communicated using various alternative languages, or targeted at a specific audience.  For example, an historic park may concurrently offer a tour in English or Spanish for general audiences, a tour in English or Spanish on the lives of youngsters in the 18th century targeted for children and young adults, and a tour in English on social and economic developments in the 18th century.
